The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) is pleased to offer you the opportunity to host a qualifier for the 35th Annual 2023 Junior National 9-Ball Championships.  The upcoming date/location will be announced soon. The BEF Junior Nationals is the most prestigious billiard event in North America for youth athletes. Top young cueists will compete for academic scholarships, prizes, and an opportunity to  represent North America at the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) World Junior 9-Ball Championships.

Junior National Qualifiers are held nationwide and we encourage you to participate to reserve qualifier spot(s) at a discounted rate. Entries are limited in each division so please submit your application to host an event in a timely manner.

National Qualifier(s):
Option 1 - $200

•     Your event will be advertised on our website and on our Facebook page.
•     The Room will be listed in the “Places to Play” section of the 2023 BEF Junior Nationals event program and on the BEF website.  
•     25% of playing field will be qualified and eligible to attend the 2023 BEF Junior National Championships at the discounted rate. 
•     Add-On options available. 

•     BCA membership ($200 value)
•     Free admission to the 2023 BCA Expo ($200 value)
•     Pechauer Jump Cue ($170 value)
•     Your choice of (1) cut of Simonis cloth for up to a 9’ table (retail value: $250) or one (1) set of Aramith Tournament Balls (retail value: $340)
•     Your event will be advertised on our website and on our Facebook page.
•     The Room will be listed in the “Places to Play” section of the 2023 BEF Junior Nationals event program and on the BEF website.
•     25% of playing field will be qualified and eligible to attend the 2023 BEF Junior National Championships at the discounted rate. 
•     Add-On options available.

•     $125 Non-World Qualifying entries ($150 value)
•     $150 World Qualifying entries ($175 value)

• All junior participants must be BEF Members. Annual BEF Junior membership is $10.00 and may be renewed on our website.
• All events are to be held on a Saturday and/or Sunday. 
• Host room may collect no more than $5 per player for green fees.
• Every participant is eligible to attend Nationals. (Entries not included). 
• A player can only win one (1) berth into the BEF Junior National 9-Ball Championships. A qualified player is permitted to compete in other qualifier events, but once a player has earned a spot, the next qualifier he/she wins, reverts to the next highest finisher which has not yet qualified. Any awards and prizes remain with that event winner. The intent is to allow junior players to gain tournament competition experience. Any misuse of this privilege or poor sportsmanship may be cause for disqualification into Junior Nationals.
• Qualifier divisions and formats may vary but at Nationals all players will compete in their respective divisions, on nine-foot tables and will follow the rules set by the World Pool-Billiard Association www.wpa-pool.com . Please inform your players. The divisions at Nationals for 9-Ball will be - 18UB, 18UG, 16UB, 16UG, 14UB, and 14UG.

• Age requirements at Nationals per division are as follows:  

    8-Ball    *18 & Under ~ CANNOT turn 19 in 2023

9-Ball  *18 & Under ~ CANNOT turn 19 in 2023    

                              *16 & Under ~ CANNOT turn 17 in 2023

10-Ball    *22 & Under ~ CANNOT turn 23 in 2023

Players must be 19 - 22 yrs of age to compete in this event.

•  Submit tournament results, write-up of your event, and group photo within one week of completing your event. Returning               these items in a timely manner will ensure that the winner(s) will have ample time to register for Nationals.

•  Invitations to Nationals or the World Championships event does not bear any cash value.
